How to Install a Dodge Shadow CD Player
- 1). Disconnect the negative battery cable from the car battery. Use an adjustable wrench to loosen the nut on the connector. Depending on the tightness of the connection, you may need to use a screwdriver to pry the connector open enough to remove it safely from the battery terminal.
- 2). Slide out the ashtray and set it aside.
- 3). Unclip the center module bezel on the console.
- 4). Use the screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the lower center module into place and remove it. The lower center module cover is attached directly to the instrument panel.
- 5). Remove the mounting screws to release the radio from the instrument panel. Disconnect the antenna lead and electrical connectors from the radio.
- 6). Attach the antenna lead and electrical connectors to the CD player. Depending on which CD player you are installing, there may be an optional faceplate or adapter that you will need to remove from the unit.
- 7). Reverse the removal steps for the radio to install the CD player.
