If you're like a lot of Americans, then you are probably wondering how the heck you ended starting down the road to separation or divorce. It's not easy, in fact most people just try to avoid it as much as possible. The try to trick themselves into thinking that it is not normal to happy in a relationship, or that being happy with a spouse is just something for TV and movies. I know this because I am speaking from my own experience.
I was married for five long and painful years. What I thought was just a sign of passion between my ex and I actually turned out to be a genuine dislike and disdain for each other. We couldn't stand being around each other and just didn't even want to be together.

Luckily, we didn't have any kids. That would have been much more difficult. Then we would have had to deal with issues like joint custody, and to be honest, I probably would have looked into the issue of fathers rights independently, just to get my own information.
