How to Add a Font for Futura Sewing Machines
- 1). Connect the Futura sewing machine to the computer using the USB cable provided by the manufacturer. Older versions of the AutoPunch software require the sewing machine to be turned on when it is connected to the computer, but more recent versions require it to be turned off. Check with the Futura Support website to see if your version requires the machine to be on or off.
- 2). Allow the base software to download to your computer. This will start automatically when the machine is connected.
- 3). Turn on the sewing machine and click on the Futura icon on your desktop to open the uploading program. This icon should have appeared once the base software was installed.
- 4). Close the Futura program and turn off the machine. Place the AutoPunch software CD into the computer's CD tray. Depending on the version of the software you are using, you will need to run the installation wizard that automatically opens. Check with the Futura Support website to see if you need to run the installation wizard, as each version of the software will vary.
- 5). Reopen the Futura program using the desktop icon and type in the Access Code that is printed on your software's case. Left-click on the check mark next to the code input box to start the program.
- 6). Close the program and turn the machine off again. Update the software if necessary by visiting the Futura Support website and save the update to the desktop. Double-click the desktop icon to install the update completely.
- 7). Open the Futura program and enter the access code from the CD case with each software option you install, such as PhotoStitch or HyperFont. Repeat the instructions to install each option.
