How to Build Hoop Nets
- 1). Cut the fishing net diagonally so that two triangles are formed. Sew the triangles together with the nylon thread so the short sides are closed and the long side remains open.
- 2). Place the small ring in the netting as close to the bottom point as possible and sew the netting to the ring.
- 3). Fold over the netting that extends past the small ring and sew it to the ring to reinforce the bottom.
- 4). Fold the top edges of the net over the large ring and sew it in place.
- 5). Tie 3-foot lengths of rope in three or four places evenly around the large ring. Tie the ropes together at the ends. The ropes need to be the same length so the net rises evenly when pulled up.
- 6). Attach the fish hooks to the small hoop, facing inward. Attach from one to four fish hooks.
