    Reset

    • 1). Slide the "Hold" switch to the "ON" and then to the "Off" position. This will reset minor settings with the iPod.

    • 2). Press, and hold the "Menu" and "Select" buttons until the "Apple" icon appears on the iPod's screen.

    • 3). Release the buttons to perform a reset to the iPod.

    Restore iPod

    • 1). Connect your iPod to a computer with the USB cable. ITunes opens once the connection is recognized.

    • 2). Click the "iPod" entry in the "Devices" list, and click the "Summary" tab if it is not already selected.

    • 3). Click the "Restore" button to reset the iPod to the factory settings. Do not disconnect the iPod from the computer until the progress bar is complete.
