How to Use the Notebook Grill
- 1). Grasp the two top edges of the grill above the finger holes and pull them apart. They will separate much like the handles on a pair of scissors will come apart. Set the grill on a stable, flat, fireproof surface like dirt or cement.
- 2). Remove the grate from inside the grill. Place a small bag of charcoal, bag and all, into the bottom of the grill.
- 3). Light the charcoal bag in multiple places. Light the top half from the main opening in the top of the grill, and light the bottom by sticking a lighter or match into the V-shaped openings on each side of the bottom of the grill.
- 4). Allow the charcoal to burn until the coals are well established. Wait until most of the coals have a uniform coating of white or gray ash on top.
- 5). Place the grate on top of the grill, setting the small pegs on the ends into the slots at the side of the grill ends. Place the food on the grates and grill as usual.
