How to Make a Centerpiece With Starburst Candy
- 1). Separate the Starbursts by color, making piles for each. Unwrap each candy, maintaining the different color piles.
- 2). Use your fingers or a metal spoon to flatten the Starburst, and then use your fingers to manipulate it into a flower petal shape. Turn the Starburst so it looks like a diamond, with 1 corner facing you. Shape the sides and top so they become more rounded, like the edges of a flower petal.
- 3). Press your thumb downward into the point of the candy to make a slight bowl shape, then continue to squeeze the edges of the petals so that they are slightly thinner and the inside of the petal is slightly curving inward. Do this to all of the Starburst candies.
- 4). Wrap the bottom corner of each petal around the wooden skewer, making sure it sticks. If the starburst is not sticking well, dab a drop of glue on the candy. Continue to add petals around the stick, so that each new petal you add slightly overlaps the previous petal.
- 5). Tie a green ribbon in a bow at the base of the flowers to look like leaves. Place the "roses" in a vase and set them in the center of the table.
