How to Make a Saggy Neck Look Better
- 1). Moisturize the skin on your neck twice a day to keep it in good condition; moisturized skin has a more natural, youthful appearance than saggy, dry skin. Apply facial moisturizer or a neck-firming moisturizer to your neck, preferably with an SPF of 15 or greater, in the morning and before bedtime, using firm, gentle, upward strokes.
- 2). Apply sunscreen to your neck to protect it from the sun's harmful rays. Ultraviolet rays can cause your skin to age prematurely.
- 3). Drink at least eight glasses of water daily to hydrate the skin from the inside-out; skin that's sagging may appear dry.
- 4). Perform neck exercises to firm the skin. Sit in a chair and look straight ahead. Tilt your head back as far as you can while keeping your mouth closed. Hold the resulting stretch in your neck for eight counts before returning back to the beginning position. Repeat this exercise five times, up to three times per day.
- 5). Sit in a chair and face forward. Turn your head sideways so it is parallel with your right shoulder. Tilt your head backward until you feel a stretch in your neck. Hold this position for eight counts before returning to the starting position. Repeat the exercise on the left side. Perform five repetitions, three times per day.
- 6). Massage your neck to help firm it. Face forward while sitting. Place the thumb and index finger of your dominant hand at the top of your neck, right below your jaw line. Add light pressure as you run the fingers down your neck all the way to your collarbone. Repeat this motion 10 times.
