DIY Rifle Camo
- 1). Clear the gun of ammunition. Double-check that there is no ammunition in the breech or magazine well.
- 2). Remove any optics, bipods or other accessories from the frame of the rifle.
- 3). Rub the entire rifle stock with a moist paper towel to remove surface dirt. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes.
- 4). Apply one end of the camouflage tape to the base of the butt stock.
- 5). Wrap the butt stock with the tape, covering half of the width of the tape every rotation and moving progressively toward the front of the barrel.
- 6). Stop wrapping the stock when you reach the trigger guard. Cut the tape at that point.
- 7). Cut small strips of tape to cover the area between the trigger guard and the barrel. Apply the strips until the stock is covered in this area.
- 8). Apply a new end of tape above the trigger guard and continue wrapping the stock until you reach the end of the stock.
- 9). Cut the tape and smooth out the surface of the stock using your hand.
