How to Make a Santa Head From a Baby Food Jar
- 1). Cut a piece of red craft foam into the shape of a Santa hat that will fit over the top of the baby food jar lid. You can cut out two triangles and staple them together, or you can buy a pre-made Santa craft hat as well.
- 2). Glue the Santa hat over the top of the baby food jar lid. If you want to place candy or other items inside of the jar later, you will need to glue the hat to the lid itself, but if not you can glue the hat to the jar instead.
- 3). Shred some cotton balls until they are wispy threads of cotton, and place them all around the bottom of the hat with glue. Place one cotton ball on the tip of the Santa hat and secure it with glue, too.
- 4). Apply two wiggly craft eyes to the front of the baby food jar, under the brim of the hat.
- 5). Use glue to place a small red button at the front of the jar underneath the wiggly craft eyes.
- 6). Paint a small, red mouth underneath the red button nose on the front of the jar.
- 7). Attach additional shredded cotton balls to the front of the jar near the bottom to form a beard, moustache and sideburns for your Santa head.
- 8). Fill your baby food jar Santa head with sweet treats or small gifts, or simply place it on a shelf in your home as a unique decoration. See Resources below for more unique Santa Claus crafts.
