STATE OF OHIO

STATE OF MICHIGAN
Michigan used to be a good state for tax liens until it stopped handling it. However, Michigan continues to conduct tax deed sales and redemption period is 2 years. During the auction, some counties require personal appearance while some holds online auction.

STATE OF NEWYORK
New York is another hybrid state. This state may not be usually known for tax lien sales but when it comes to the other sale, it is definitely one of the most popular. It has a 14% interest rate for those counties that have sales thought these lien certificates are not commonly sold to the public. It has a 1 year redemption period and both auctions hold competitive bidding being the highest bidder wins.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
New Hampshire does not conduct tax lien sales but property owners are required to pay the county 18% interest for the tax lien to be erased or they may lose the property to foreclosure. The total redemption period is 5 years and also auction process is through competitive bidding.
