Tricks For Bathing Your Dogs

31
Back in the day, when dog shampoo was not fully developed, bathing a dog could ruin its coat and make the dog feel icky.
Today, there are many types of dog shampoos, conditioners, cream rinses, etc available in the market and most of them are pretty decent.
These products besides helping dogs to be cleaner, it also makes them feel better and enjoy bathing more.
However, when first started, most dogs would hate baths and training them to accept bathing would require a little bit of works.
Here are a few tricks to train your dog for bathing: -Bath your dog often when they are still young.
Puppies are easier to train and learn.
-Make sure to have a tub that is big enough and comfortable for both you and the dog.
-Make sure to keep the dog still in the tub.
You may have to use a bathing noose to keep them in place if necessary.
-Avoid bathing outside as the water often cool and the dog would get dirty again quickly.
-Be gentle and take your time.
One bad experience would cause a lot of trouble later to train them back.
-Cover your dog ears with cotton balls to keep the water out.
-Though, this is not necessary but you can apply an optic ointment on your dog eyes before bathing him to protect his eyes.
-Avoid using shower as the water temperature can change and make it unpleasant for the dog.
-Never use sink to bath dogs unless they are really small puppies.
Bathing a dog is necessary to keep him clean and healthy.
Be patient to train them to get used to with bathing and they will make it become a habit and enjoy the session.
