Jet Blue Baggage Limits
- JetBlue offers each passenger one free checked bag, with the following conditions. Bags can be no larger than 62 inches in total dimension (calculated by adding the length, height and depth of the bag) and can weigh no more than 50 pounds. One additional bag can be checked per passenger at a fee.
- One additional piece of baggage may be checked at a cost of $30. Bags weighing between 51 and 70 pounds will cost an additional $50 per bag, and bags weighing 71 to 99 pounds will cost $100 more each. Bags over 99 pounds are not permitted, nor are boxes (for checked baggage on international flights). Oversized bags (between 63 and 80 inches) will incur a fee of $75 per bag. Anything larger will not be accepted. (All prices are as of October 2010.)
- As with most airlines, JetBlue allows passengers one carry-on bag (to be stowed in the overhead compartment) and one personal item (a purse, backpack, laptop bag or briefcase) to store under the seat in front of you. The bag must not exceed a total measurement of 26-by-18-by-12 inches for flights on Airbus A320s, and 24-by-16-by-10 inches for flights aboard EMBRAER 190s (check the ticket for airplane info).
