How to Make a Teepee for the Classroom
- 1). Provide art supplies, such as markers, glitter pens, sequins, crayons, colored pencils and a sheet of paper to each of your students.
- 2). Allow the children to decorate one side of their paper however they want. Show them pictures of traditional teepees for inspiration.
- 3). Flip over the sheets of paper when the children have finished their decorations so their art is face down on a table.
- 4). Grasp the top-left and top-right corner and fold them inwards and down toward each other until the top-center of the paper comes to a point.
- 5). Glue where the edges of the paper meet each other in this formation.
- 6). Trim the bottom corners of the craft, if they form an uneven base, so that the teepee is able to sit upright on a table by itself.
