Climate Change - Your Next Step

38
Did you really turn of the lights for five minutes in the beginning of this month? Ok...
in that case you will have to prepare yourself for the next step.
What will it be? Because...
if we leave the climate discussion in hands of the government they will come up with solutions that affect us in the worst of the possible ways.
It started with the 'invitation' to the automotive industry to produce cleaner cars to diminish CO2 emissions.
The response of "the industry" was that this would lead to a loss of jobs and more expensive cars...
Two economists who shared the Nobel Price in 2004...
"Prescott and Kydland showed that when government policymakers pursue stated goals inconsistently, it hurts their credibility with the public and can cause businesses and consumers to behave in ways contrary to those goals.

) Is the climate policy prone to this problem too? It is too simple to wait for your government to come up with a solution to manage the issue of climate change.
Climate change requires your personal commitment if you believe that your action and presence on the planet affects nature and therefore, the climate.
The climate provides us with valuable feedback of our own actions and only because of this feedback we will be triggered to do something.
It is the same feedback like that of the jelly fish that attack popular coasts because of the problem of over-fishing.
Believe it or not.
But if you did turn of the light for five minutes, you should also think about the next step.
Use low energy lamps, reduce you car ride, buy a bicycle, or try this if you work in a building: use the stairs.
In that case reap a twofold advantage; you improve you condition and you save (rather than consume) natural resources.
