How to Send Cheap Roses
- 1). Cut roses from your garden that have not bloomed yet with a sharp knife at a 45 degree angle early in the morning. You can also purchase inexpensive rose buds from a floral shop, grocery store or local farmer’s market. Place roses in a bucket of water.
- 2). Soak four sheets of newspaper in water. Place stems on the newspaper and wrap the rose stems inside the newspaper leaving the flowers unwrapped.
- 3). Place the stems in a plastic grocery bag and the tie the bag lightly to allow air flow. Leave the flowers unwrapped.
- 4). Place insulated liners in a shipping box to keep the roses cool during transit.
- 5). Place the wrapped roses in the box and add tissue paper to fill in extra spaces to further protect the roses and prevent them from moving around in the box during transit.
- 6). Secure the box with packaging tape and address it. Mail overnight for fast delivery to ensure the roses are fresh upon arrival.
