Anxiety and Suicidal Thoughts - Don"t Let Them Win
Living with social anxiety is like sitting in a room with a bomb shell waiting to explode.
You are always nervous and anxious because you always feel that the worse thing will definitely happen to you.
Even though it is just the thoughts that are playing inside your head, they seem to be very real.
While others find that driving a car or jogging in the park is an enjoyable activity, you may not feel the same.
Why is it so terrifying in the first place? Sometimes you just don't know the reason - but you are afraid to go out and explore the world like everybody else around you is doing.
Have you tried to overcome your fears by taking social anxiety medication? Maybe you have, but there is no improvement at all and you get frustrated so you decided to stop taking any of them altogether.
Sometimes, when the situation is too frustrating suicidal thoughts may occur as well.
Why is this so? Why not? Nobody seems to care.
You are left behind with nothing to hold on to.
Perhaps, saying farewell to this cruel world may be a good idea after all.
If you have been experiencing all these negative thoughts, maybe you are suffering the symptoms of anxiety.
However, you are not the only one who suffers from this condition.
It can happen to anybody - from a five-year-old kid up to the oldest grandparents in the world, all of them are prone to this illness.
Whenever you are experiencing harmful thoughts, it is best if you try replacing them with positive ones.
At first it may be very difficult to get it done, so you will have to write them down on your journal.
Even a plain piece of paper is good enough already.
On your journal or paper, write down: 1.
The things that triggered you to think negatively.
2.
Then, ask yourself why did you think the way you do.
3.
Was it real or just imaginary? 4.
What would be the worst situation if it really happened? 5.
Would you be harmed in any way if the thing actually happened? Most often you will realize that there is nothing to fear in reality.
You will be able to think more clearly when you know that nothing bad is going to happen to you.
You will also be able to feel a lot relieved and secured.
When you start experiencing positive thoughts, naturally you won't be too stressed out anymore.
The great thing is you will be able to eliminate suicidal thinking.
The key is to practice the way you think on a regular basis.
The minute you start imagining the bad things, replace them with good ones.
Soon you will master this technique and you don't need any journals or pieces of paper to help you anymore.
