There are numerous circumstances when being away we cannot be with our loved ones on special occasions and yes we do miss them like seafarer, software engineers, construction engineers, person pursuing higher education, engaged in research, posted away from the family and home on job for one reason or the other.

We belong to the work class who moved away in search of greener pastures and sacrificed our special moment in turn for which we were entitled.
We work hard with a single motto that our loved ones live, enjoy and prosper with healthy life. They get the best of this world which we can make available for them.

Yes I have felt this way when I was away from my home on my job for a short term assignment on board merchant ship. During this term I often find myself in situation when my parents,wife and son tells me that they have celebrated the birthday of certain person with big blast and they missed me a lot.

My son asks me dad when you will be with us when I am cutting my cake and enjoying my favorite food. I try numerous answers but I know they are not sufficient.

And this time when my wife birthday got near I decided I would try something different. She is just a foodie with a special tongue for shopping, Chinese food and yellow flowers.

And as usual when I asked her what's her plan besides doing shopping and her daily puja, I got what I anticipated. She said nothing if you had been here we would have gone to her famous restaurant to enjoy Chinese and the tantalizing Indian chat dishes. I said you are right and after few minutes ended the call.

I felt annoyed by myself for denying the joy and happiness which every wife enjoy by driving their husbands nook and corner for shopping and eating their favorite food from their favorite restaurants.

I decided to do something different and set myself for search on internet. I know my friends would be having lot of ideas for the day which can be taken upon but I decided to concentrate only the three joys of my wife i.e. yellow flowers, favorite dress and her favorite Chinese food, which makes her feel special anytime, and yes this time without me.

I searched for a local flower delivery company who delivers flowers on such occasions to the person with a jingle sung together with it. I was impressed and I booked a lot of yellow lilies in a bouquet and added the favorite song which she use to sing while alone in house.

I searched and found a shopping site with a beautiful western dress which she has always wanted to wear with me, not in house while we are on a holiday and I just grabbed it. I scheduled it to arrive on her birthday date.

Now was the time to handle the evening time that is the dinner time.
I searched frantically for the online food ordering websites. I came across few but some didn't have the Chinese good restaurant, some were without payment facility and some were not able to convince me of timely home delivery.

Then I checked with name jusfood another online food ordering website and found the restaurant in Chennai of my wife choice, with online payment and home delivery option.

I was relieved as this had joined the last link for the whole exercise to pamper my wife with some difference. I found jusfood quite helpful with the restaurant reviews and profiles and suggestion for a more varied selections.

Time difference between my place and India was playing its part as in USA you would have been working while back in India they are retiring for the night. But then I saw the option to schedule my delivery time and that made my life easy and bright. I selected the time slot I wanted the food to deliver at my place and headed for checkout page to make online payment.

I was surprised by their SMS verification option to avoid fake orders and since it was a surprise I didn't wanted to provide a local number. And here I saw my plan falling apart. I went through the payment process but my sms was not verified.

I was feeling bit annoyed that why they have not included the international number for this.
I called jusfood team and they verified my other credentials. When I explained them about the event and my concerns for timely delivery, they informed me that they will service the order and promised it will taken care by jusfood delivery team itself as as not to allow any space for delays.

I was relieved and happy.Keeping my finger cross for everything to fell in place I connected with my wife them on Skype and yes found everything went well as per my plan.

She told me excitingly that flowers were delivered in early morning with a band playing her favorite song when she opened her door.

Later after her puja was finished she received her dress and got awed by it.

In the evening when she was struggling with the food planning, she got a call wishing her happy birthday and informed her dinner is on the way.

My wife was really happy to see all the flowers and relished the Chinese food ordered online from her favorite restaurant in Chennai.

And I I was a happy guy too, satisfied to some extent.

So friends I believe like me there are lot of people out in there, working their lives out hoping to join their loved ones on one such day or a particular day..This is it.

Though I agree it will not eliminate their pain of being away but it will lessen it surely €¦€¦
