How to Make a Rig for Landlocked Striped Bass
- 1). Cut 24 inches of sinker line and tie a heavy sinker at the end of the line. Attach the other end to the three-way swivel. Choose a sinker line that's lighter than your main and leader lines.
- 2). Attach the snap swivel to the three-way swivel.
- 3). Tie a length of 24- to 36-inch leader to the snap swivel.
- 4). Attach your baits and lures to the end of the leader line. Effective live baits include shad and herring. If you prefer artificial lures, opt for metal spoons and crankbaits with diving lips. Both types of artificial lures are especially productive for suspended, landlocked striped bass.
- 5). Connect the last eye of the three-way swivel to your main line.
