Ready To Get Married?

10
Many people who fall deeply in love are sometimes quick to decide to get married the soonest time possible.
They make decisions in haste without considering some important factors and at times without even thinking of their responsibilities and the changes that will take place in their lives.
If you're aware of the high rate of divorce taking place particularly in developed countries, you need to think many times before settling down.
You should know that marriage should not be rushed.
It's not enough that you love each other so deeply because there are other important ingredients that have to be there to make your marriage work and last for a long time.
So how then would you know if you're ready to take the plunge? Marriage is not for you if you're more focused on preparing for your wedding rather than on how you're going to start life with your partner.
Some people can go blind when excited about their upcoming wedding and end up groping when they start life with their partner.
They don't even know their partner well enough hence, they end up having a hard time adjusting after exchanging their "I do's".
You may not be ready for marriage if you haven't learned to trust your partner.
Keep in mind that in any relationship, trust is very important and without it, you aren't assured of a steady relationship moving forward.
Another sign that you're not ready to get married is if you have doubts about your parenting skills.
It's never a breeze to be involved with a single parent and never too easy to become a parent if you don't feel like being one especially to a child who's not yours.
Experts say it would be difficult to work out your relationship if you just love the person you want to marry and not his or her kids.
You should be willing to compromise if you want to hold on to your relationship because the kids will always be a part of your partner's life.
What about the dating stage? If you haven't dated for quite some time, it's maybe a sign that you're not yet moving towards saying your "I do's.
" There have been many studies that showed a link between the length of time a couple dates and divorce.
For example, it's been found that those who have been dating for less than two years and who then get married during that time have a high likelihood of divorce.
Also, you might be surprised to know that those dating too long have been found to have a high divorce rate.
Experts suggest that people who date for more than five years have high divorce rates as well.
Additionally, you have to consider your values and personalities seriously before tying the knot.
If these things are not yet in place, then don't rush into marriage just yet.
It's very important that you and your partner know what you want and what you're getting into before saying I do.
So think about all these factors and other things that concern you before making your final decision.
