Air Travel to Cabo
- Los Cabos International Airport is located eight miles north of San Jose del Cabo and 29 miles north of Cabo San Lucas. Air-travel time on direct flights is four to five hours from most major Canadian cities, the Eastern seaboard and upper Midwestern U.S. states, three hours from the Midwest, and two hours from Houston, Phoenix and Los Angeles.
- Most major U.S. airlines serve Los Cabos, including American, Alaska, United, Continental, Delta, U.S. Airways and Frontier. Mexicana and Aeromexico, the two major Mexican airlines, fly from U.S. and Canadian destinations to Los Cabos.
- There is non-stop service from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles.
- Airline travelers must now have a valid passport to enter Mexico. Just prior to arrival, visitors also must the fill out two forms---a tourist card document and a customs declaration---which will be distributed by a flight attendant before you land.
- The international airport is served by licensed shuttle vans, taxis and rental car agencies. Airport authorities advise travelers to ignore solicitations from unlicensed shuttle operators at the airport. Reservations can be made on the airport's website prior to arrival.
