Home Security Month
October is Home Security month. First held in 2013 it highlights the importance of Home security as we get ready to turn back our clocks and head into the winter months. Statistically there is a 20% rise in home burglaries during the darker months and over all 62% of burglaries occur at night with , according to the Metropolitan police, between June 2013- June 2014 there were more than 80,000 reported burglaries and with a crime being committed in England and Wales every 7 seconds, according to the office of national statistics , Home Security should be a lot higher up peoples priorities than it often is.
