How to Uninstall ActiveX Objects
- 1). Turn on your computer and log in to Windows.
- 2). Click "Start and then click "Control Panel." Double-click "Add/Remove Programs" and then choose the "Install/Uninstall" tab.
- 3). If the ActiveX control you wish to uninstall is listed, select that control and click "Add/Remove." Then follow the additional uninstall directions that appear on the screen.
- 4). Double-click "My Computer" and then open the "C:" drive.
- 5). Double-click "Windows," open "Downloaded Program Files" and locate additional ActiveX controls you wish to remove.
- 6). Right-click the Active X control you want to uninstall and then click "Remove." Click "Yes" when you are asked if you would like to remove the control.
