I started out with simple lifestyle and diet changes to ensure proper functioning of my liver.
Some of these included (1) removal of all personal care products that contain xenoestrogens (lotions, shampoos, facial creams, toothpaste, etc) (2) staying away from soy, diary, red meat, (3) including 4-5 servings of fresh fruit and veggies - organically grown variety wherever possible (4) only organic chicken (not fed soy) and wild salmon/fish occasionally (5) Drinking 2-3 liters of water throughout the day.
You can also have fresh fruit/vegetable juice twice a day to keep yourself energized and hydrated.
(6) Many kinds of legumes act as fibroid fighters.
Legumes rich in phytoestrogens include Pinto beans, kidney beans, black beans, mung beans, lima beans, fava beans, and split peas.
Ensure that you include at least one of these in your daily diet.
(7) Bean sprouts are also good sources of phytoestrogens.
It would be worthwhile to add generous amounts of sprouts to salads and other dishes as part of your daily intake.
(8) Irrespective of the type of treatment for uterine fibroids you choose it is important for you to try and visualize yourself being fibroid free.
Light meditation for 5-10 minutes followed by this visualization will help you get rid of anxiety which tends to disrupt the hormonal balance in the body.
