How to Change the Office 2007 Key
- 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Run." Type "regedit" in the "Open" field and click "OK" to open the Registry Editor.
- 2). Locate the top-level folder labeled "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" in the left-hand side of the Registry Editor window.
- 3). Click the arrow or "+" symbol located to the left of the folder to expand it. Repeat the process for the following sub-folders: "Software," "Microsoft," "Office," "12.0" and "Registration."
- 4). Single-click each of the folder icons located directly below the "Registration" folder on the left-hand side of the window. As you click, look for the registry value labeled "DigitalProductID" on the right-hand side of the window. Move on to the next step once you find the folder that contains this value.
- 5). Right-click the "DigitalProductID" value on the right-hand side of the window, select "Delete," and then click "Yes" when prompted.
- 6). Right-click the "ProductID" value on the right-hand side of the window, select "Delete," and then click "Yes" when prompted.
- 7). Click the red "X" in the top-right corner of the Registry Editor window to close the program.
- 8). Open any Office 2007 program.
- 9). Enter your replacement product key value in the corresponding field when prompted, and then click "Continue." This value can be found on a sticker attached to the back of your installation disc, or in your purchase confirmation email if you bought your software online.

Click "Install Now" and allow some time for the registration to reset. Activate Office 2007 to finalize the registration.
