Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate family and friends, and perhaps share a meal (or two). If you can't be with some family members or friends this Thanksgiving, you can send them a colorful e-card, so they'll know they're in your thoughts. The web sites below offer free or low-cost e-cards and animated greetings that range from traditional to humorous. Many of the sites also offer printable Thanksgiving cards. All you need are an inkjet printer, good quality paper or card stock, and a little extra time for mailing.

There are a dozen Thanksgiving cards to choose from on the World Wildlife Fund web site. Nine of the cards feature marine mammals or wildlife; no surprise there. The remaining three cards are beautiful shots of colorful fall foliage. All of the ecards are free, and you can customize them with a personal message. While you're on the WWF site, stop by the Gift Center and do a little holiday shopping for animal-loving family or friends, or adopt a species.More »

Some of the e-cards and videos in the JibJab collection may at first glance appear to be a bit politically incorrect, but if you look a little further, you'll see that they include pointed lessons about our revisionist version of history. Mostly, though, the quirky cards and videos will make you smile, if not laugh out loud. You can customize some of the cards and videos by adding headshots of family or friends.

If your humor is a little off-center, JibJab is sure to entertain. Just make sure that the recipient's sense of humor is a little off-center, too.More »
