How to Install WinXP on an ASUS Eee PC
- 1). Insert your Windows XP Installation CD into the Asus Eee's optical disk drive.
- 2). Restart your computer. The Eee laptop will read your Windows XP installation disk and prompt you to press any button to begin the installation process. Strike a key and allow a few moments for Windows XP to load all necessary files.
- 3). Press the "Enter" key when prompted by the Windows installer, then press "F8" to accept the End User Licensing Agreement.
- 4). Select the hard drive partition to install Windows XP on by using your arrow keys, then press "Enter" to select it. Your computer will reboot before going back into your Windows XP installer, which will now look like Windows XP. The installer will prompt you when it requires information. Follow these basic steps and sit back, as the installation process takes roughly a half-hour.
