How to Stop Fogging in Kiln Glass Casting
- 1). Start your ventilation system to help remove smoke and odors.
- 2). Cut your fiber paper with scissors to make it fit the shape of your kiln shelf and then place this inside.
- 3). Turn on your kiln and allow it to reach 1400 degrees F. This temperature burns out the binders in the fiber paper that causes fogging during a kiln cast cycle.
- 4). Turn off your kiln and let it cool down to room temperature.
- 5). Place your glass cast materials inside the kiln and use the firing cycle needed for your particular project.
