How to Make My DSL Connection Secure
- 1). Click "Start" and then select "Control Panel."
- 2). Select "Network and Internet Connections," and then click "Internet Options." Next, go to the "Advanced" tab.
- 3). Go to the "Security" section in the "Settings" list box and place a check beside: "Check for publisher's certificate revocation*," "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication*," "Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks*," "Enable SmartScreen Filter," "Use SSL 3.0," "Use TLS 1.0 (Note: Select the highest level SSL and TLS)," "Warn about certificate address mismatch*," "Warn if POST submittal is redirected to a zone that does not permit posts."
- 4). Click "Apply" and then click "OK."
- 5). Press "F5" to activate the changes. (Note: If your new changes do not take affect, exit the IE browser and reopen it.)
