The Personality of a Blogger - The Golden Rule of Successful Blogging.
There are three personality traits every blogger needs in order to be successful and when it comes to the internet there is an abundance of different resources all providing information on various aspects of blogging.
They all offer the typical content: guidelines for installing and fine-tuning WordPress, how to choose a web hosting provider, and a brief overview covering search engine optimization.
Most readers will search out these resources because many people have heard that there is a lot of money that can be made online using blogs and personal websites.
Anyone who has tried this will typically follow the course precisely; usually because it comes with a promise of making money fast and easy.
However, eventually you begin to realize that something is missing.
The magical gold nugget offering the valuable piece of information which is crucial to your success is now something you feel you must have missed out in your training material; you now find yourself pulling your hair out trying to figure out what it was that you did not get.
As with many other things in life, oftentimes, the answer to our everyday dilemmas will be staring us straight in the face.
This gold nugget or special secret for blogging success is certainly no different.
As a matter of fact, the three different traits which I am going to discuss can easily be related to many walks in life.
These are something I use everyday to help me in my career.
So, exactly what are these traits? Determination This is undoubtedly one attribute that is among the most important that you should have.
You will find it very difficult and perhaps nearly impossible to find a way to work through the many turbulent and troublesome times in your adventure if you lack determination.
This determination is certainly something that you will be able to teach yourself if you put a lot of effort into it, but it will not be easy.
The ironic thing with this is that you will need to be determined in order to be determined.
Every single one of us is capable of determination and it is something we all have within ourselves.
If we did not have this determination, we would spend our days sitting at home and literally doing nothing at all.
We all have some hopes and dreams for our life.
Some people might want a large beautiful house with a great car, some people want financial security and a loving family.
Regardless, the only real thing that can ever hold us back comes down to our own personal determination.
You will hear many different excuses such as not being able to afford it, and on and on, but in reality, when a person is truly determined to accomplish something, they will find a way to make it happen.
Personable I have never met anyone who has achieved any level of success who did not have some form of an addictive personality.
These are sociable people who are friendly and know how to get out there and network with others.
This is a fundamental core for success, it is as important as knowledge and part of this formula includes who you know.
With the proper contacts, you can easily get to know just about anyone.
But one important way of getting to know these contacts is by networking.
This is made much easier by simply being a person who is approachable.
For example, say you are attending a conference and there is a speaker you would like to go and introduce yourself to.
You certainly will not be helping yourself n any way by going up to them and telling them that you do not agree with a point that they have made.
Something like that will not get you anywhere with the other person.
I have found that situations like this will often best be handled by using a calm persona.
Tell them you have a question about something they were discussing, and then suggest you get together somewhere else in a more private setting to discuss it further.
This initial contact is extremely important, so it is vital that you get this part right.
Passion The last personality trait is passion.
Passion will not automatically guarantee that you will succeed, however passion can make life easier for you.
In fact, you will be able to challenge yourself and accomplish anything you want, even subjects that do not interest you.
For example, I am not very interested in history, since I am an engineer myself.
However, I am intrigued by history, and I know that as a result of my passion for succeeding in anything I focus on, I could be successful with it - but it can be difficult because the subject matter is not something that I am naturally interested in.
On the flip side, I enjoy coding and making websites.
I find that type of work relaxing because it does not require me to think about it much.
If I looked for a project doing this, an area I am passionate about, it will be more likely that it will help me endure even during rough times because I already have a natural interest.
