Conventional Bow Tie

• The traditional bow tie is tied by the wearer from a single bow tie piece. You pass the bow tie around your neck so that the side on the left hangs lower than the side on the right. Cross the left hand end over the right side and bring it up and under into the created loop. Double the right hand end over itself to create the base loop. Wrap the left end over the center of the base loop, double fold it back on itself and feed it through the center of the loop. The tie can then be adjusted by tugging on the ends. This is the most formal of the bow tie style options and is easily tied after a bit of practice. This can be worn with a wing or conventional collar.
  
  

Pre-Tied Bow Tie

• For people who do not want the hassle of tying their own bow tie, there is the option of using a pre-tied bow tie. This is simply attached around the neck using a hook and loop system. You can then adjust the length of the bow tie using the adjustable strap. Depending on the style of the strap you can wear this bow tie with a wing collar or conventional collar.
  
  

Color Choice

• The color of the bow tie depends on the event. If the wedding is designated "Black tie" then the color of the tie worn should be black.
