How to Kill Mange Mites with Bleach
- 1). Contact a veternarian and schedule an appointment to have your pet treated for mange. If the animal is not treated, the mange mites will not go away.
- 2). Back at home, fill a five-gallon plastic bucket with hot water.
- 3). Add three cups of bleach to your hot water.
- 4). Using rags, wipe down all hard nonporous surfaces with this water-bleach solution. Once the water gets dirty, dump it out and refill your bucket with fresh water. Add another three cups of bleach to the water and continue cleaning.
- 5). All white towels, rags, sheets, clothes, undergarments, etc., should be washed on your washing machine's hot cycle with bleach.
- 6). Dry clothes on your dryer's normal setting, allowing it to run as long as possible.
