    • 1). Turn off your computer and disconnect all the cables from the back.

    • 2). Turn the computer around so it faces you and lay it down on its side with the right hand side facing upwards.

    • 3). Remove the screws from the edge of the computer with your screwdriver and pull back the side panel. Lift it upwards when it no longer goes back.

    • 4). Remove the screw attached to the edge of the network adapter. You can locate the network adapter by locating the network input on the outside of the PC. Trace that to the inside of the PC where the circuit board sits in a slot.

    • 5). Lift the network adapter by the metal part with one finger, using the other end as a lever. Lift it completely off when one end starts to come off.

    • 6). Place the new network adapter in the slot above where the old one was located and insert it straight. Press firmly until it sinks into the slot completely. Screw the new adapter onto the metal plate in the same fashion as the old adapter.

    • 7). Place your case panel at a slight offset on the PC until it locks in and then push it into place. Screws in the screws that were removed.

    • 8). Plug your computer's cables back in and turn it back on.
