It's been a few years since the electronic cigarette has been popular on the market. Electronic cigarettes have proven to be quite the success, being a clever alternative to smoking tobacco cigarettes. Although smoking tobacco has been going on for centuries, the invention of tobacco cigarettes introduced a whole new set of health problems for people, and as soon as these harmful side effects were discovered and introduced to society, smoking tobacco cigarettes started to decline in popularity, when at one time, it seemed as though everyone was a smoker.

After the medical risks of smoking became clear, smokers everywhere wanted to stop smoking, but it was certainly easier said than done. There were periods of time when the patch was popular, and then another period of time when a pricey prescription medication became the latest and greatest way of quitting smoking. Electronic cigarettes were in existence this entire time, but when they were first developed, people weren't rushing out to buy e-cigarette kits and even what was probably the best e-liquid was sitting on shelves collecting dust. Eventually though, smokers started hearing about the newest way to try and quit smoking: through electronic cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes were becoming known as one of the best ways to curb one's desire for a nicotine fix: they could find what they considered their favorite, best e-liquid, and from their best e-liquid, they could slowly cut down on the level of nicotine they were taking in and yet still have the act of smoking satisfied, which is always an issue with most smokers whenever they try to quit smoking. E-liquid is now even available with no nicotine at all in it, which meant that people were able to still enjoy the act of smoking without taking in any nicotine at all if they wanted.

Additionally, non-smokers who were around smokers didn't mind someone pulling out their e-cigarette kits and 'lighting up', because of course electronic cigarettes are completely smoke free and don't put out any smell at all. The smoke that comes out of the end of electronic cigarettes is nothing but water vapor: it's simply like a good visual effect at a good rock concert. Although people still aren't rushing out by the masses to buy e-cigarette kits, they're slowly bringing 'smoking' cigarettes back to being more 'mainstream' in society: even if they are just a clever illusion and convenient, odor-free alternative to cigarettes.
