How to Make an Apple-Like 3D Logo
- 1). Open Photoshop. Select "File" from the menu, and choose "New." In the dialog box that appears, enter the width and height that you want for the document. Change the "Background" to "Transparent," and click "OK."
- 2). Select the "Pen" tool from the toolbar, and, in the options at the top, set the "Mode" to "Shape Layer." Make the color a light gray. Draw the bottom shape of the apple, including the bite. Hold down the "Shift" key and draw the stem as well.
- 3). Go to the bottom of the "Layers" palette, and click on the "FX" button. From the options, choose "Bevel and Emboss." In the dialog box, adjust the settings to your liking, and click "OK." Save your work.
- 1). Open Photofiltre. Select "File" from the menu, and choose "New." In the dialog box that appears, enter the pixel width and height you want for the document. Click on "Automatic Transparency," and click "OK."
- 2). Select the "Polygon" selection tool, and use it to make a selection shaped like the bottom part of the Apple logo, including the bite. Hold down the "CTRL" key, and create the separate stem section as well.
- 3). Select the "Paint Bucket" tool, and use it to fill the selection with light gray. Then select "Filter" from the menu, and click "Stylize." From the options, choose "3D Contour." Click "OK," and save your work.
- 1). Open GIMP. Select "File" from the menu, and choose "New." In the dialog box that appears, set the pixel width and height that you want. Click on "Advanced Settings," and change the "Fill With" to "Transparency." Click "OK."
- 2). Select the "Path" tool from the toolbar, and draw the bottom of the apple and the separate stem. You can refine this shape by changing the tool mode to "Edit" and adjusting the points. Select the "Paint Bucket" tool from the toolbar. Change the color to gray, and fill in the selection.
- 3). Select "Filter" and choose "Alpha to Logo." From the options, choose "Chrome." Click "OK," and save your work.
