How to Make Window Decals for a Hunting Club
- 1). Plug a printer into a spare USB port. Insert the printer software that came with the printer. Install the software using the on-screen commands.
- 2). Load your Hunting Club logo on your computer using a disk or thumb-drive. Insert the thumb-drive into a USB port or load the CD that your file is saved on. Double-click on "My Computer" and navigate to the drive where the logo is saved. Double-click on the icon to open the thumb-drive or CD. Drag the logo onto your desktop.
- 3). Go to "Start" and click on "All Programs." Navigate to "Accessories" at the top of the menu and double-click on "Paint" to open Microsoft Paint. Click on "Image" and then click on "Resize/Skew" to resize your Hunting Club logo. The logo should be resized to fit the decal size.
- 4). Save the file. Preview the file by double-clicking its location on your desktop. Click the icon for "Actual Size" at the bottom of the Windows Photo Gallery Viewer to see the full-sized image. Keep resizing until you have the logo perfectly sized.
- 5). Load the printer with decal paper appropriate for your printer. Alter your printers settings to print one decal or many on a page by selecting the print format from the options on the screen. Selecting the print format option that has an icon with many images on it will print more than one decal per page. Print a test page with regular printer paper to make sure you have the logo aligned properly. Print the remaining pages when you are happy with placement. Remove the decals from the printer tray immediately to prevent distortion.
- 6). Allow the ink to dry on the decals before handling them. Cut away the excess decal paper as close to the image as possible. Clean the area where the decal will be placed and let it dry thoroughly. Peel the backing off the image a little at a time while applying the image to glass wood or metal. Smooth out the air bubbles with a squeegee.
