Is Your Home Bed Bug Infested?

21
Bed bugs are tiny night-time creatures that come and walk on your bed and bite you all over and basically do not let you sleep.
With that introduction you may well have understood or even experience what kind of nuisances bed bugs are.
They are, in color a deep brownish red.
They are very flat tiny bodied creatures which enables them to hide in between mattresses, bedding and other surfaces.
Owing to their small body they can hide anywhere in your house which means it becomes as difficult for you to find them as easy it is for them to hide.
Bed bugs can actually be compared with cockroaches.
Both have been on earth long before humans, since ancient periods.
Both are household nuisances and people generally have a hard time getting rid of these creatures.
Bugs are mostly found in places with a temperate type of weather.
If you have tiny red marks all over your body, along with itching and some times irritation and infection, you may decide that bed bugs can be the reason.
Thankfully, they do not transmit diseases nor carry them.
But their bites leave red marks that can be very irritating and itchy.
How do you know if your home is infested with bed bugs? First of all, they are very difficult to detect due to their small size.
But there are ways to know if there are bugs in your bed.
One thing is that sometimes these bugs get squashed when you roll on to them while sleeping thus leaving blood marks on the sheet.
Another way is by detecting small black or brown spots on the sheets which are actually the excrement left by the bugs.
The main areas to look for these bugs are mattresses, closed, shadowy spaces, crack on the floor or walls, furniture and other dark places in your house.
The best thing to do if you find out that your house is infested with bugs is to contact a local expert.
Home remedies might work to get rid of the bugs, but some times they do not remove all the eggs laid by the bugs.
You can also take the help of an insecticide, but be careful to follow the instruction steps given on the bottle.
Even though bed bugs don't create any serious health issues it is always better to rid your home off these bugs as they are not good for general hygiene.
