How to Remove the Yellow Stains Off of Shoes
- 1). Open the hydrogen peroxide bottle and dampen the sponge with the liquid. Hydrogen peroxide can be purchased cheaply in grocery stores, pharmacies and just about anywhere.
- 2). Scrub the stained area on the shoes with the sponge, using either an up/down or clockwise/counter clockwise motion.
- 3). Repeat step 1 if the stain is deeply set in, but allow the hydrogen peroxide to set into the stain for several minutes before scrubbing.
- 4). Squeeze and rinse out the sponge under running water to remove the excess hydrogen peroxide.
- 5). Soak the sponge with warm plain water and wipe down the shoes until the hydrogen peroxide is removed.
- 6). Wipe off any excess liquid with a cloth towel.
- 7). Place the shoes in an area where they can air dry if there is still moisture left in them.
- 1). Make a paste by mixing RIT dye powder color remover powder and a small amount of water. Use this method if the stain does not come out using hydrogen peroxide.
- 2). Place the paste on a cloth towel and spread it over the yellow stains.
- 3). Let the paste set into the stain and scrub the paste in with a cloth towel until it comes out.
- 4). Rinse a clean sponge with plain warm water and wipe down the shoes to remove the paste.
- 5). Dry off the shoes with a clean, dry cloth and air dry the shoes.
