Win Child Custody - Is Mediation the Best Approach? Read This!

60
Hopefully you are in a situation where it may be amicable to each party involved and a mutual agreement can be made regarding which parent will win child custody without the use of mediation.
Unfortunately if you are not one of these rare couples and do need to utilize a mediation service there are a few things that you must know.
Often times one parent is more reasonable to work voluntarily then the other and that is when the feelings of the adults take a front seat to the feelings of the child.
This should never happen as everyone has very tender emotions in a divorce, separation or a battle over who will win child custody.
One parent's emotions should not take precedent over a child's.
But all too often this happens.
That is when mediation may very well be the best decision for everyone involved.
If you have ever heard of 'unseen scars' this is what seems to be left when parents try to take these situations into their own hands.
In a mediation setting both parties are notified of a set date, time and place to meet in an attempt to resolve any differences amicably.
Each parent will meet with their legal advisor prior to the meeting and go over any stipulations regarding where the child will live, go to school, groups of interest and believe it or not they may even approach the subject of what religion the child is raised under.
You would be surprised to hear all of the issues brought into a mediation setting to begin the battle to win child custody.
Ultimately there are two answers to the previous question of whether mediation is the best approach.
If both parents can decide and agree in writing amongst themselves of the stipulations regarding the child, then I would say 'no' it is not necessary.
However if there is one discrepancy, then definitely 'yes' go to mediation and have someone on your side fighting for your child's best interests.
Below, you'll find a review of a great resource that will greatly help you prepare for your child custody battle.
At the very least, read it.
It could mean the difference between winning and losing.
