Will Obama"s Socialist Policies Cause Our Population Brain Damage in the Future?

27
Well, here we are in 2013, and as the New Year is now upon us.
Indeed, I had gone out of my way to wish people a Happy New Year.
I even went so far as to say; "2013 is going to be your year, we deserve it.
" I was met with smiles, although most people said good riddance to 2012, and in fact suggested that the last two or three years haven't been all that great either.
Many said they "hoped" for a good year in 2013 and would keep their fingers crossed.
Personally, it is my belief that "Hope Is Not a Long-Term Strategy" which is also the title of a rather interesting political book.
Okay so let's talk about this shall we? What I'm saying to you is that it feels as if in our society there is a sense of defeatism, a negative attitude, and a "misery loves company" motif.
I don't see it as a good thing, and I wonder what happened to the free spirit and perpetual optimism which was known as an American tradition.
All I can think is we are moving too fast towards socialism.
We are allowing for a victim mentality in our populace, and I believe part of the problem happens to be some of our leadership here the United States.
Quite frankly, I believe it is making people depressed.
Whereas, no one can make you depressed without your expressed consent, it seems that too many people have fallen for the mass media doom and gloom prospects for our future.
All this depression is not only taking a toll on our economy, it is also taking a toll on America's health.
That's even more unfortunate because now our government is paying for pharmaceuticals, healthcare visits, and has inadvertently hijacked the entire healthcare industry.
How serious is this you ask? Well, I think it's very serious, and I'd like to give you another piece of information which hopefully will help make my point here.
There was an interesting article in Science Daily, just in time for the Fiscal Cliff and New Year 2013 titled; "Late-Life Depression Associated With Prevalent Mild Cognitive Impairment, Increased Risk of Dementia," which seems to beg the question; does that mean hard economic times today, which stress people out will cause them to be brain-dead tomorrow, meaning the cost of Obama's economic policies just got a whole lot pricier, of course socialism generally ends up costing a nation everything in the end anyway.
If so, then the human toll will be immense, so much so that it will implode our healthcare system with cost overruns.
If we thought we couldn't afford ObamaCare before, what happens when everyone gets depressed, and falls on ill health because of it? The reason I dare to ask is because of my little social experiment in wishing people a Happy New Year for 2013, and listening to their moaning and groaning in their replies.
It just doesn't seem like the America that I grew up in, something has changed, and something has changed for the worse.
Please consider all this and think on it.
