If you book online, you will be required to submit an email address so that you can receive a confirmation number and online receipt.
- 5). Check your email to get your confirmation or ticket number. With most airlines, you can use either of these numbers to check in for your flight via kiosk, which will allow you to skip the long lines.
- 1). Call an airline you would like to fly with. Every airline has a telephone number you can call to make flight reservations. Depending on which airline you choose, the system might be automated or have a live operator.
- 2). Tell the operator the flight details you want. The operator will then look at the available options for you. The disadvantage of booking your flight via telephone is that you aren't able to see your options and are left with those that are provided to you by the operator.
- 3). Pay with credit card or debit card. Some airlines will allow you to wait and pay when you check in so you can avoid giving your credit card information over the phone.
