How to Add a Printer in DOS
- 1). Connect printer to computer. As all printers differ, refer to the instruction manual the printer came with.
- 2). Click "Start" in the bottom left corner of the task bar on computer screen and select "Settings."
- 3). Select "Control Panel" from the "Settings" drop-down menu.
- 4). Double-click "Printers" in the "Control Panel" window.
- 5). Double-click "Add Printer" in the "Printers" dialogue box and follow the instructions that appear on screen to install the printer.
- 6). Select "Yes" under "Do you print from MS-DOS-based programs?" when the "Network Path Name" prompt appears. Continue following instructions on screen to complete printer installation.
