How to Kill Moss Around a Pool on Concrete

7
    • 1). Manually remove as much moss as possible with a hard push broom. Using pressure, brush the poolside moss away from the water and into the surrounding grass or vegetation. Moss does not produce a root system, making manual removal an efficient option.

    • 2). Examine the concrete near the pool for any remaining moss growth. If the moss is not completely removed, move onto the next step.

    • 3). Create a mixture of 3/4 cup baking soda and 1 gallon water. Work the baking soda solution into any remaining moss with a plastic scrub brush.

    • 4). Allow the baking soda mixture to remain for 15 minutes before rinsing it away with a garden hose. Point the hose away from the pool to prevent water contamination by the loose moss.
