Hotels at Haneda Airport
- Haneda International Airport is one of two major airports servicing Tokyo, Japan, and is one of the busiest airports in the world--hosting more than 66 million passengers in 2008, according to the Airport Council International. To accommodate the many travelers to the area, there are several of hotels near the airport that range in price from moderate to expensive. Two of them offer special accommodations for women.
- Located next to the airport's Terminal 2, the Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu (tokyuhotelsjapan.com) offers a full-service restaurant and free Internet, plus added room comforts such as slippers, pajamas and tea sets. This hotel also has 26 rooms designed especially for women, with feather bedding, a nightshirt and extra toiletries.
- The Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo (jalhotels.com) is a 10-minute drive from the airport and is more moderately priced than the Excel. Amenities include a restaurant, free Internet service and free airport shuttle. Guest rooms include slippers and sleepwear. Each of the hotel's 11 floors are styled differently, so a second stay might result in a different experience.
- Located about 3.5 miles from the airport, the Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo Bay (ichotelsgroup.com) boasts five restaurants, two bars, a fitness center, Swedish massage services and complimentary breakfast buffet and cocktail service for suite guests. Parking and Internet access carry a surcharge. The airport can be accessed from the hotel by car, train or subway.
- This smaller, more moderately-priced Omori Tokyu Inn (tokyuhotelsjapan.com) is located about 4 miles from the airport. Its on-site restaurant features both Japanese and Western cuisine; a tea lounge is also available to guests. Guests are provided with slippers and Japanese Yukata robes. The hotel has 10 rooms are designed especially for women. The airport is accessible from the hotel by car or by rail.
