Trading Platforms

ExpressFutures.com offers clients a variety of trading platforms, with the main platform being the Express trading platform. You can trade all pit and electronic futures and futures options, including the international exchanges. It includes live quotes, live account updates, charting futures news, 24 hour trading with free broker support and backup.

They also have the popular CQG trading platform that is strictly for electronic trading.
A new trading platform that ExpressFutures.com offers is the Advantage platform. It includes free streaming live quotes on all electronic futures and options, advanced charting, 24 hour trading, free broker support, Depth Of Market (streaming bid/offers on futures and options).

Opening an Account

You can fill out their account forms through their website or you can download the forms and email or fax them to their office. They use Vision Financial Markets, LLC as their clearing firm. The minimum starting account is $2,500 for online trading.

Commissions

Commission rates start at $4.50 per round turn for electronic markets, which is at the low end among online futures brokers. Rates for pit-traded markets are higher, or course. They do have a feature where you can contact them with the commission rates you want to pay and they will see if they can work out a deal for you. Usually with commodity brokers, the larger account you have and the more trades you place, the lower rates you will receive. I wouldn’t expect anything lower than $4.50 for the electronic markets as that is near rock bottom.
