Dyson Repair Instructions
- 1). Press the release button on the back of the canister body to release the canister that catches dirt. Empty contents from the clear canister.
- 2). Wipe off the canister body and canister with a clean cloth or paper towels. You should be able to pull any loose debris off the canister body but do not immerse it in water. The clear canister can be immersed and washed with clean water, but Dyson cautions against using detergents.
- 3). Pull any remaining debris from the pipe where the canister attaches to the left side of the vacuum. Wipe off this connection with a clean cloth.
- 4). Reconnect the canister and canister body after making sure all of the parts are dry.
- 1). Remove canister from vacuum so you can fully inspect the tools.
- 2). Release the wand from the vacuum by pressing the hose release button at the top of the vacuum and sliding the hose off. Look inside for blockages.
- 3). Tilt vacuum forward and slide out the U-bend part of the hose at the base of the back of the machine. Check for blockages.
- 4). Remove debris from hoses using a small rod or a wire coat hanger that has been extended. The hoses can be wiped clean with a cloth or paper towel before being reattached to the vacuum but should not be immersed in water.
- 1). Pick up vacuum and lay it on the floor with the bottom of the vacuum pointing up.
- 2). Remove fasteners around the brush bar on the bottom of the vacuum with a flat-head screwdriver or coin.
- 3). Using scissors, remove debris from around the brushbar. The bar and casing can be wiped clean with a cloth.
- 4). Reattach the plate over the brushbar. Make sure the fasteners are secured tightly.
