Whether your hair is long or short, straight or curly, everyone needs a quick and easy look for summer. Simple hairstyles save time while still looking great. And remember to stay away from too many products or treatments on a daily basis, as they can damage hair by drying it out and causing breakage. Instead, try one of these simple summer hairstyles to save time and effort.

    Ponytail

    • Brush hair back to around ear level and tie with an elastic of your choice. Hair can be pulled back firm against the head or loose for a sexy, wind-blown look. Leave a few loose strands around you face for a softer look.

    Braids

    • Pull all of your hair together in the back of your head or to the side at neck level. Divide hair into three even sections. Cross the right section over the middle section, making it the new middle section. Then cross the left section over the middle section, making this the new middle section. Repeat until you have reached the end of your hair and tie it with an elastic.

    Simple Loose Curls

    • For a soft, delicate look, spray dry hair with a texturizer. Curl hair with rollers or a curling iron. Shake head to loosen the curls and then spritz with hairspray.

    Bun

    • For an easy and sophisticated look, brush hair back into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic. Twist hair around the base of the ponytail, spinning hair as you go. Use another elastic and hair pins to secure the end of hair to bun.

    Layers

    • Layers are a great summer style as they give hair a dimensional look. Ask your stylist to cut layers into your hair and continue to wash and dry as you normally would. The layers will add texture and movement to your 'do without any extra effort.

    Bob

    • If you want a shorter summer style without all the fuss, ask your stylist to give you a bob cut, which typically lies above the shoulders. Characterized by sharp lines, you can also opt for the asymmetrical look, where the back of the hair is shorter than the front.

    Straight and Simple

    • You can never go wrong with sleek, straight locks for summer. Wash hair with shampoo and conditioner as you normally would, then add an anti-frizz product. Blow dry and spritz hair with a small amount of hairspray to hold stray hairs in place.
