  Compared to the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii, the Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) has a limited selection of golf games. The few titles on the Sony PS2 console do give players a variety of different experiences. The "Tiger Woods PGA Tour" series provides a traditional golf game experience. The "Hot Shots Golf" series provides a cartoony experience. "Outlaw Golf 2" provides an unusual crude humor to the normally dignified golf setting. "Disney Golf" provides a more child friendly twist to golf games.
  
  

Tiger Woods PGA Tour

• "Tiger Woods PGA Tour" is the largest golf game franchise across each console, including the Sony PlayStation 2. Electronic Arts releases a new game in the series each year with updated players, controls and courses. A Sony PS2 series version of "Tiger Woods PGA Tour" was released from 2000 to 2009.
  
  

Hot Shots Golf

• "Hot Shots Golf" is the North American title for the "Everybody's Golf" series. Two entries in the series--"Hot Shots Golf 3" and "Hot Shots Golf Fore!"--were released for the Sony PS2 console. The "Hot Shots Golf" series uses cartoon graphics and unrealistic settings. Despite the appearance, the "Hot Shots Golf" series still uses a realistic engine for actual game play similar to more traditional golf games.
  
  

Outlaw Golf 2

• "Outlaw Golf 2" is a golf game that revolves around crude humor with a lower class setting than is associated with golf. Characters in the game include a biker, a redneck and a hippie with a temper. Comedian Dave Attell provides the commentary for the game. One unique feature of the game is the composure meter. Making good shots increases composure, which makes it easier to hit additional good shots. Making bad shots lowers composure, which makes it more difficult to hit later shots.
  
  

Disney Golf

• "Disney Golf" is a Sony PlayStation 2 golf game using Disney characters. It is designed with a younger audience in mind than typical for this style of game. The character is classified as Normal, Power, Technique or Kids. The Kids-type character has simplified controls to make the game easier for younger players. The game still has the standard variety of controls typical for a golf game for players using the other character types.
