How to Tye Snelled Hooks
- 1). Feed about 6 inches of line through the eye of the hook so it lies along the shank. You need to have the line on the same side of the hook as the bite--or gap--between hook point and shank.
- 2). Double the line back toward the eye forming a loop.
- 3). Wrap the end of the line around the shank and line inside the loop 6 to 8 times.
- 4). Pull the tag end to close the knot.
- 5). Grasp the standing line with one hand and the hook with the other and pull in opposite directions until tight.
- 6). Trim the tag end so it barely sticks out from under the wraps.
