Smart Business Travel- A Matter of Common Sense
Planning some business travel, attending an international conference or a simple overseas trip? Using some common sense as your tools can add up to big meaning and savings both before and during travel and make traveling a better experience. Would you like to know how? Then, keep reading…
Arrive in airport early
Rather than getting worried every time you leave your house or hotel, that you may miss the flight and panic unnecessarily thinking about the long queues of security check up, why don't you start a bit early???
See the mess: You are worried! You are panicked! You are mad! You are running and speeding through the streets blindly! And somehow arriving in the nick of time, scrambled through security and made it to the gate with a few minutes to spare. Oh, what a mess!
Travel in comfort
And once you reach the airport after hurrying sooooo much, you get to see the flight is delayed by some hours! Holy sh*t! What are you going to do now? Well, if you would have booked your ticket in 1st or Business class you can avail the facilities of 1st class and business lounges in airports for flight delays. Or else, get madder, shout more. But I tell you it is a common scenario now! So, please do not always make the mistake of thinking that Business and 1st Class air tickets are costly. They are sometimes sold in high discounts which often match up to the economy class. So, what's the fuss?
Spend wisely
So, my last point says that is one of the sectors where you can spend wisely. But there are other factors too where you need to spend smartly. Overseas stays varies from country to country. It is a good idea to choose a decent hotel, even if it is costly. But try and see if you have discount coupons lying idle in your mail box. Or call up your client to seek some valuable inputs or ask for their recommended and discounted hotels.
Know the climate
Why is it so necessary to check out the climatic conditions of the places where you are traveling? I know, you are not on picnic, then why should you bother? The answer is, if you are not bothered, the climate will bother you. How? May be you have just packed light clothes and go to see that the place gets colder from evening! Or, it rains abruptly every now and then! So, the point is, pack your bags accordingly and keep the medical kit ready as per the weather conditions or ready to suffer the consequences.
Keep several copies of travel and medical insurance documents
No! You are not sounding like a school kid or a college guy. Keep the digital copies in mailboxes, laptop and pen drive. Basically keep it in multiple places. Why? Because airlines people are very much capable of losing your baggage and what will you do if you don't keep some extra copies or some digital back up?
So, the moral of the story is, travel safely and smartly. International travels calls for safety and smartness. Apply your common sense to tackle the situations better and see how much easier it is! Happy Journey!!!
